Very Good Magazine/Extremely Poor Customer Service April 5, 2006 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
It is a shame that such a good magazine lacks so much in customer service. I subscribed in 2005 and only received one (1) issue which was informative, well structured and beautifully illustrated. When i e-mailed the company to find out what had happened with the rest of my subscription, Roseanne Tully's (CEO & Publisher to Intermezzo Magazine) response to my inquiry was that the next publication would be sent immediately and that "the rest of the 6 issues would be delivered even if it takes more than a year". To date, i have not received a single issue since i made my complaint in March nor have i received a refund. If you're a foodie as myself, and like to keep up with the trends in the culinary industry; what good is it to subscribe to a publication that takes your money and does not deliver or delivers outdated magazines?
Best Cooking Magazine Ever January 6, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the greatest cooking magazine I have ever subscribed to. I highly recommend it to all those who love food! All the recipes are simple and wonderful, no crazy specialty ingredients are needed.
Great Variety - Wonderful Magazine August 19, 2004 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I received my first issue of Intermezzo after receiving the subscription as a gift from my Wishlist. I LOVED IT! There were a variety of articles and the magazine talks about food, wine, home and garden, and travel. It's exactly the type of magazine that I enjoy. I can't wait for the next issue to arrive!
Addendum: The second issue is even better! What a pleasure!
Excellent Content August 3, 2004 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
Intermezzo is a feast of delicious, easy to follow recipes with a minimum of exotic ingredients, beautiful photos, interesting travel stories, and useful decorating tips. It actually feels like it has more content than ads, and I hope that doesn't change. I've tried several recipes and they've all turned out great so far.
Usually I go through my magazines and tear out articles or recipes that I want to save and toss the rest once I've read it. I can't do that with Intermezzo, because I just have to keep the whole thing. Other than National Geographic, it's the only magazine that I save as whole issues.
The only thing I'd change is that I'd love to see this published monthly instead of every other month. Then again, I don't want to sacrifice quality for quantity, and this is definitely a quality publication.
Writers know exactly what I want, without even knowing me July 16, 2004 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Intermezzo is a breath of fresh air. The recipes and instructions are simple; the photos make me want to make nearly everything. I've tried the pan-seared salmon, the cinnamon buns, the fresh berry tart, plus others. The ginger cake is amazing. The travel destinations are places I actually want to visit. The new issue has a SIMPLE room makeover which is my new weekend inspiration. I read it cover to cover; it's the best magazine I've seen in a long time. Only downside is it comes out every other month and I hate waiting for each new issue. I bought the four issues I missed on their website and they are great. You will judge all other magazines by another standard after Intermezzo!!
