5 out of 5 stars Senseo Supreme Coffeemaker   March 12, 2008
This makes the best cup of coffee. It's always fresh and we only brew what we want to drink. It takes no more than 90 seconds total from a cold start to a hot mug of our favorite coffee. No more throwing out half pots of coffee or drinking hours old, black mugs. I can choose decaf while my husband picks a robust french blend. We figure we actually spend less than we used to because we aren't throwing any coffee out.

4 out of 5 stars A better way is out there   March 5, 2008
I bought the original Senseo, and the large resevoir, and was thrilled with the medium roast coffee pods. But then I found the Grindmaster Brand coffee pod machine. It has a larger resevoir & fits all my coffee cups and mugs. I highly recommend it. I still have a love for the Senseo/Sara Lee coffee though and have it automatically shipped. Sorry Senseo but Grindmaster is just a better machine . . .

5 out of 5 stars Great single serve coffee maker   March 4, 2008
Before buying, really decide what you are looking for. I wanted a coffee maker for myself, to make 2 or 3 cups of coffee a day, hot, when I wanted them. Traditional coffee makers, brewing 6 cups that became tepid by noon, were out. I bought this thinking in the long run I would be saving money, not throwing away the cold coffee. Yes, this coffee maker works for me! I use 2 pods, set the LCD screen level at 2 and hit the 2 cups button on the bottom and presto! my mug is full of fresh hot, medium-strength coffee. This machine doesn't take up more counter space than Mr. Coffee, but check if you have room before buying. As to the quality of the coffee...the Senseo pads are just okay... For the Starbucks fans, yes, you can use the coffee in this machine. Options include using the eco-pads (I use this) also available through Amazon. You fill this and put it in the holder, but do have to clean them after. Also, you can make your own coffee pods...have not tried that yet, but will in the future. Overall, the coffee maker performs as claimed and, though a bit expensive, gives you the opportunity to enjoy that cup in just a minute or so!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful   February 26, 2008
I am quite pleased wih this coffee maker. We usually drink only one cup of coffee a day and it was wasteful to make a full pot. It was easy to figure out how strong to make our coffee to our own personal taste and it is fresh. I like the taste of the Senseo Douwe Egberts pods and worked my way through the variety pack to find my favorite (Kenya). The coffee maker looks stylish and has a small countertop footprint. Enjoy!

Right out of the box, this coffeemaker was easy to use. The first cleaning process is very noisy, but the regular brewing process is fairly quiet. All of my mugs have fit under the spout and the LED choices for amounts of coffee are easy to figure out. There is always, though, some waste of water since the machine will not continue the brew cycle if the water in the reservoir falls below the minimum line. My mug would hold the rest of the water if the machine would keep brewing, but it won't. The need water indicator light comes on and stops the machine. A remedy would be nice to conserve water. I have tried several of the Senseo coffees and have liked them. I have also purchased a machine to make my own pods and have enjoyed that, too. The coffee is not quite as frothy with the homemade pods, though. I also need to by the tea holder. I tried a homemade pod that I had put tea in and the water spilled out of the side of the machine, so apparently I need the Senseo tea holder. All in all, to brew my daily cup this machine is easy, delicious and stylish.
