I was a little uncertain about purchasing these glasses after reading negative reviews about their fragility - but I have to say our set of four has not given us any indication of cracking or failure. We do wash them by hand more than in the dishwasher, but that is more because of our fondness of using them than for their supposed fragile nature. I'd encourage anyone to buy these - they are beautiful and functional and much better than drinking from their plastic counterparts.

I have to admit, I'm in love with the whole line of double-wall glass products from bodum. They do the job as advertised- keeping cold drinks cold and warm drinks warm. They also manage to do so in style; the liquid looks like it's suspended and floating in the glass.
I've bought a whole bunch of these in different styles and have loved them all. They're much more durable than you'd think too- I've dropped mine on tile a few times and they've always managed to bounce rather than shatter. That isn't to say that I'd recommend bouncing them for kicks though, but they'll make it though an overloaded dishwasher just fine.

I ordered 2 sets of these 9 ounce glasses. To my surprise, they only hold approximated 6 ounces of liquid. They look good but they do NOT hold 9 ounces of liquid. I would not recommend these glasses for purchase unless you are statisfied with glasses that will only hold 6 ounces.

We have bought quite a lot of these well designed glasses and like them very much. No need for ice in cold drinks and the eight ounce serves well for coffee. Much more sturdy than I imagined. Also guests seem to enjoy them. We will buy more.

While the glasses look nice, they are very fragile and the first of two was broken within a week of arrival. The second of the pair lasted almost a month.
