Best cups to drink coffee in! July 30, 2008 Never used Amazon before. Very quick, got exactly what I wanted for less$ These glasses are the greatest. I never use coffee cups any more.
Fabulous Idea Poorly Engineered July 29, 2008 When I received my pair of 21 oz. tumblers, I was one happy iced tea drinker! For a few days. I set an empty one down on the counter and, for some reason, it fell over. Having broken many an Erlenmyer flask in my day, the familiar sound of thin borosilicate glass cracking/breaking rushed back through my mind. Kimax, Pyrex, generic borosilicate: I've broken it all!
When I saw these glasses, I was immediately seduced. No sweating glass (I live in Florida). Beverage stays cooler longer. Gorgeous design. What a wonderful concept. Even the $15 a pop for a glass didn't phase me. Too bad it just doesn't work in glass.
Alas, I now know these are not practical glassware items. They are far too fragile.
The same concept has been successfully applied in durable plastic by Tervis Tumbler, dating from 1946. Their product comes with a lifetime warranty. I can't seem to find warranty information for the Bodum products.
So, look and admire the Bodum tumblers and then move on without purchasing them. Instead, spring for some Tervis tumblers. They cost about the same.
For those who gave 5-star rave reviews for this product, I am in awe and admiration of your success with it. For the life of me, I can't fathom how you did it.
Cool glass! July 27, 2008 Great product. Stylish, effective, affordable. Keeps my coffee hotter significantly longer than my other mugs. So far, no problem with durability with reasonable care.
Great Glasses July 27, 2008 I use these glasses daily to pull double ristretto shots for cappucino and I have no complaints. The glasses are a perfect size and keep the coffee hot. I've noticed other reviews complain about the glass being too fragile or the glasses themselves not feeling heavy or substantial enough. I haven't experienced either of these issues. My glasses have not broken despite my pre-coffee morning clumsiness. I would definitely buy these glasses again. As far as coffee equipment goes these are really inexpensive.
Great cups for espresso! July 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these to use with my Keurig B70 when I use the smallest cup setting. It fills it about 3/4 of the way full, which is perfect. What I love about this cup is that it not only looks great, it doesn't get hot! I can brew fresh Timothy's Espresso blend right into it and pick it right up. Very nice.
