Wanted something to go under my cellar staircase and this can be made to fit the shape. Looks great. Really solid once put together. And that is where it was "nearly perfect". Took a little longer than I expected. No real skills needed, just patience and taps of a hammer. The dowels really fit snugly. (which is obviously a plus when finished.)

After reading all the reviews for this product, I decided to order two 40-bottle units. The assembly was quite simple and, like the other reviewers stated, kind of fun. A rubber mallet is a must for ease of assembly. Although I originally feared the unit might be top-heavy and tip when filled, once assembled and filled it is quite stable. I am very happy with this purchase and must either buy another unit shortly or begin drinking more wine!

I've shopped for a long time for just the right wine rack and finally took a chance on this one. We were not disappointed! Great quality, easy to assemble. Recommend it highly.

Easy to assemble, if you're not in a rush. A mallet is needed for correct assembley. It's kind of fun like the old tinker toys. I was able to get the dimentions that I needed to fit into a larger cabinet. Great product. I also stained and polyurathaned.
