Easy to use December 28, 2007
This item did everything that other reviewers said it would. I bought this for my Dad for Christmas and being a picky person about wine and gadgets he was even impressed.

I have been the victim of many horrible bottle openers, as I'm sure many of you have. Some are horrible, some eat up the corks, some actually work but with quite a bit of effort. This Screwpull was suggested to us by a Bed & Breakfast owner in Napa. We bought one on our trip and I absolutely love it. So easy and we have never had a problem. And not out of your price range! You need one!
Amazing piece of physics! November 29, 2007
I love love love my old pocket Screwpull. I have owned it for probably about 10 years; it is a clear green pocket model. Sadly, it needs to be replaced this year, as the plastic on the collapsible handle is cracking and hence the handle is loose. But 10 years is pretty darn good for any product, so I am getting another one!
It has never let me down and I always recommend them to people who don't already own one!
Beware of synthetic corks November 24, 2007

This is my favorite corkscrew that has lasted me about 15 years. I have other rabbit-like wine openers that also work great but this portable one is so much easier to grab, pop on the bottle, twirl with one finger and...it's open!
Alas, one stubborn synthetic "cork" only let the worm in halfway and held on so tight that now the top of the worm just spins in its plastic housing. I was bummed!
Oh well, lesson learned. Use the rabbits for the plastic corks. And pick up another pocket Screwpull quick before they discontinue it!
