Good purchase November 29, 2008 My old jar broke and I bought this whole set. It is a great replacement and the blades and lid are a bonus. The lid on my older jar was the soft type; however this one is hard plastic and is a little effort is needed to get it sit tightly on the jar, but it gets better after a few washes. I use this jar regularly to blend a variety of items, from milkshakes to smoothies to sauces and chutneys. The blades have remained sharp (although I don't wash the blades in the dishwasher, the rest of the assembly is dishwasher safe). I'd definitely love what I purchased, I gave it 4 starts for the price (as I had to pay shipping too) and for the finish (not the same as the original)! Still, a great buy!
Blender November 23, 2008 I accidentally broke the jar for my Oster blender. I was happy to find that I could get a replacement for it. It's not quite the same as the jar I broke, but it works fairly well.
Great replacement September 20, 2008 I have a vintage multispeed Sears blender that is still going strong. When the original glass jar cracked I was faced with replacing the whole blender. I even went shopping for new ones and found they didn't measure up to the robustness or design of the old Sears. When I came across this replacement assembly I was happy. The price was very good and it came with all new fitting and lid. I was really happy when it showed up. It is very thick glass, very high quality and matches the blender even better than the original. Nice find!
I'm thrilled! August 9, 2008 All Oster parts (even though some were made in Mexico), and my 30-year old blender is a new machine! The blades get dull after years of constant use (duh), the gasket wears out (no wonder it was leaking), so I almost sprang for one of those fancy expensive ones I read about recently in one of my cooking mags. All I needed was a couple of replacement parts for my trustworthy old Osterizer, and now it will last probably longer than I do!
The color of the lid was different from a picture. It wasn't black and was white. June 25, 2008 I wanted both of a white lid and a black lid.
A lid of the accessory saw a picture, and was black, so though a white lid was bought additionally intentionally, it's different from a picture, and something white has also reached a lid of the accessory.
In the long run there were no lids with a black white lid. To the extent I'd like to complain.
