Nice White Wine Glasses November 4, 2008 I had purchased these glasses once before. These are perfect glasses because they are pretty nice, without breaking the bank. As anyone who drinks wine knows, wine glasses WILL break. If I paid $30/stem, I might feel like crying. I bought these with a buy 3 get 1 free promo, so I paid just under $7/stem. These have quite a thin rim, and feel really nice in one's hand. As I said, I have had these glasses for a while and I do like to drink wine! It was time to restock.
NOT VINO GRANDE CHARDONNAY glasses September 30, 2008 For what its worth, based on my order experience, the picture in this listing is correct but the title and description are not. If you get the wine glass pictured, it is the Spiegelau 12oz White Wine glass that stands 8 1/4" tall. The Grande Vino Chardonnay glass is a 20.5 oz large bowl that stands about 8" tall. I discovered this recently when I needed to replace several of the glasses I received a year ago ordered from this listing. To replace them, I ordered the 2 pc. gift pack of Grande Vino Chardonnay glasses and received the 8" 20.5 oz glasses. The Spiegelau box clarifies that a 12oz 8 1/4" glass is the white wine glass. The glasses get 5 stars - they're as wonderful as everyone says for everyday use and far less dangerous than Reidels which are are likely to tear apart in your hands during washing if you get distracted from applying the lightest touch. Amazon gets 0 stars for persisting in a misleading listing and offering no easy way to offer a correction.
Beautiful glasses, great price April 23, 2008 I needed nice wine glasses for a new vacation house . . . although Spiegelau was new to me, I ordered these based on the description and reviews. I am very happy with my purchase: These glasses are elegant, appropriate for white wine, and practical. Highly recommended!
Drink Up!! January 18, 2008 This line is simply the best all around choice for everyday use. They're beautiful to look at, have nice heft, and provide the perfect stage for any wine you care pour in. You also won't cry a river when one breaks!
All my Reidel's are in pieces, scattered amongst various landfills by now. Stick with these and they'll stick with you! They're fantastic glasses.
Fine for everyday November 11, 2007 At $7.50 a glass, you won't cry if you break one. The size and shape are ideal (I don't like mammoth glasses), they are sturdy and attractive, and they feel good to drink from. They aren't fine crystal, and a seam is noticeable to the touch on the side of the stem, but for everyday, they are a good buy.
