3 out of 5 stars better coffee, nice item you'd probably use on weekends or to impress friends   March 22, 2008

Makes more flavorful coffee because the steel screen lets more coffee solids through. The grounds take up about an inch or so of usable space, limiting the number of cups. You will probablly get at most 4 American cups. Double glass walled press kept my coffee warm, not hot, for about a half-hour. If you have to have a coffee press, save yourself $50 and get a regular model, as the insulating properties were unimpressive. Pretty easy to clean, some grounds got stuck between the screen and the retaining plate. I suggest you get a gold mesh permanent filter for your coffee maker, you'll get a little more flavor in your coffee. Or get an espresso maker, which doesn't have a fine filter, and use your regular coffee blend, with an espresso grind. I'm going to take it to work...we have a coffee machine that makes hot water...it will impress the co-workers and definitely taste better than the ground tree bark they use.
