 Description misleading November 15, 2007
This was advertised as a 5 piece set - what actually arrived was a two piece set. It was for a gift so I did not have time to get it corrected and had to settle for what was shipped. Either the product was wrong or the description was wrong. Please fix.

I am about to order our second Screwpull wine opener. The first one, a "Professional Model," died after 8 years of averaging 3 cork pulls per week. Something internal to the mechanism finally wore out. After reading horror stories about the cheap imitations and figuring out the relative cost (not to mention hassle) of continually replacing the cheap ones versus buying a Screwpull at much longer intervals, it was a no-brainer to go with the proven track record.
Nearly perfect corkscrew May 25, 2007
I have a large wine cellar and open wine nearly every night. I have used many corkscrews in a similar style. All others have broken, some 'Ebay Specials broke in just days. Some have slipped gears, some have the auger drive into the cork, then back out the same way without pulling the cork.
This corkscrew is well made. An important consideration for me, it carries a 10 year warranty. My only downgrade is the plastic handles. They do bend as you secure to the bottle and remove the cork. Of course, had I spend a few dollars more, I could have had the metal frame and not had that problem.
As far as the accessories, they are okay, but buy for the corkscrew not the accessories.

This is the best corkscrew I have ever owned. It makes it so easy and fast to pull out a cork and is a really nice looking set. I definitely recommend this product and have been using it for 2 years with no problems whatsoever. Great gift.
