 Easiest Wine Opener...EVER January 3, 2007
AND reasonably priced at ===$20.00===. Hubba hubba!
I've tried levers, twist 'n pulls, rabbits, you name it. They all pale in comparison to this device. Never before have I been able to uncork bottles of wine with such ease. The operation of the opener so easy a child could successfully open a bottle with it. The packaging is elegant and also makes for good long-term storage if you're short on drawer space.
I've yet to encounter any problems, and have been able to lift synthetic as well as traditional corks with no trouble at all. Great product, and great price. Highly recommended for any wine enthusiasts out there!

I read all the glowing reviews and bought this for my wife for Christmas. It came in a beautiful box that needed only a ribbon to go under the tree.
I used it once successfully, but the first time my wife tried, it jammed with the handle halfway up. With some effort I was able to pull the opener away from the bottle (removing the cork in the process so the evening wasn't ruined), but it remains completely jammed.
Most frustrating, I can find nowhere to go from here. There is essentially NO information provided with this product. The one-page "user guide" has 5 pictures with instructions to pull up, pull down, pull up, and pull down. The Amazon site actually has more info than comes with the product, and even Google can find no manufacturer's web site or support number.
So I'm glad that most users are so happy with this product, but for me, one successful use before failure and no support equals no more than one star. If Amazon or Pinzon comes to my rescue, I'll be happy to modify this review.

What a little gadget! We bought this to go along with our wine collection, and we've been amazed since... Wonder how we did without the Pinzon wine opener before!! I guess we'll never know...

I purchased this item for a family gift exchange. Soon after the exchange, we wanted to try out the wine opener...WOW!!! It is almost too easy....several different wine bottles of all different styles were opened with ease in just seconds...I was so impressed that I have gone ahead and orderd one for myself and four more for gifts...i strongly recommend

I don't own this specific Pinzon model bottle opener, but I do have an older model made by Truedeau that works exactly the same way. The style of opener is SO superior to a Rabbit/Screwpull design its not even funny. It is easy, and works flawlessly. Whenever my Truedeau finally give up the ghost, or I break the screw part itself, I'm buying one of these. They are easier to use, easier to store, and just plain superior to the other "easy open" corkscrews.
