 The best way to enjoy a great Bourbon August 8, 2008

Like most things involving something I enjoy, I do a lot of research before making a purchase. In this case, Riedel made it easy for me because as far as I know, this is the only glass available that was specifically designed to enjoy bourbon "neat". Does it make a difference? The short answer is yes, definitely. Just as you wouldn't think about pouring a fine wine into a water glass, the same logic in design principle applies. A perfect size in hand, and robust enough to withstand frequent use. In summary; if you're into great bourbon, and do not pollute it with anything else, you will appreciate these glasses.

These are beautiful glasses that are perfect for someone who has everything including a taste for bourbon. I'm always happy with Riedel glassware and these are no exception.

I sent these as a gift and unfortunately, they all arrived broken. Apparently, the packaging was really weak. On the positive side, Amazon was easy to deal with and they sent a check to my recipient. Obviously, not a great gift experience though as they now need to find the glasses on their own.

I did some research on these glasses before deciding to purchase them. The Riedel company has an outstanding reputation for creating elegant glassware which brings out the best in specific spirits. The shapes and designs vary according the type of wine or alcohol. They definitely have a winner with their bourbon glasses. After receiving the glasses, I invited some friends to do a little taste test, having them sample bourbon from a variety of glasses. Without exception the clear winner was the Riedel bourbon glass. The taste enhancement was exceptional. These glasses would make a great gift and conversation piece for anyone with a pallet for Kentucky's finest! -WRK
