 Great for tasting red wine February 25, 2008
If you are tasting a quality red wine, these are the perfect glasses. I for one, don't enjoy those half liter and over monsters. These glasses are great for 3-4 ounce serving and I think they are perfect for the rich red australian wines, like a great barossan. The ripples do their job and speed up aeration, so you don't need a big bowl to swirl the wine unless you are a swirling maniac. They concentrate the flavour really well, one more reason to stop doing that silly thing. They are elegant and the ripples at the bottom create miriade of reflections that are very pretty to look at. A great design. I wish they came in 10 ounce size, which would be better for white wine. As it is, the next size up is 22 ounces, yuk!
