My husband drinks red wine and I like to drink white wine and therefore we always have two bottles of wine open. Now we use the Wine Saver we no longer have the wastage that we did before because each glass of wine still tastes as good as the first. Highly recommended product.

As a French person, I felt compelled to put in my two cents about this product. I just recently bought one of my own, but I have been around these gizmos for years, as my grandparents, parents, etc. all own one of these. For those of you who, as do the French, enjoy a little wine every day, this is a priceless tool. It helps keep red wine drinkable for up to a week, which, even if you drink little and are alone, is quite enough. Plus, I always loved its 'miracle of science' aspect. There's a physics lesson for the kids, if I ever saw one. And using this tool is indeed child's play. Enjoy.

Not only do my husband and I use this for wine, I've used it to seal champagne. We opened a bottle for a special occasion and had a couple of glasses. Usually I just dump out the rest, but thought I would try the vacuvin sealer. A week later I poured a glass of champagne and it was still fizzy and tasted like it had the week before.

This device is priceless. How many times have you wanted a glass of wine or two, but have hesitated because it would mean wasting 1/2 the bottle (even a few hours later, a re-corked wine is sorely diminished). With the pump and replacement caps you can recap the bottles and remove all the excess air (nowhere for the spirit to escape to!). Also great for keeping cooking wine in the fridge -- this way you can use decent wine for recipies and not waste the whole thing. Probably has saved a dozen two-day old bottles from being poured down the drain. Also makes a great gift.

No better way to have a few bottles of wine chilling in the fridge - otherwise you're just drinking one at a time. I was worried that the rubber seal would wear out but 18 months of constant use and they're still great!If you're ordering this - take a look at getting a few extra caps that you can order right here at amazon!
