Customer Reviews:
Should be required reading for all children October 26, 2008 Preventing further damage to the environment is something that all people must be a part of, from the youngest to the eldest. In this book, Wines sets down 50 simple ways in which children can do their part to cut waste, save energy and recycle more. Some, such as turning out lights or taking shorter showers, the children can do themselves. Others, such as putting in more energy efficient light bulbs, necessitate a lobbying effort of their significant adults. The first step in any movement in environmental protection is awareness, which is certainly an effective result of this book. Written in a style well within the grasp of the late elementary school child, this is a book that should be read by all children.
Excellent reference March 11, 2008 As a mom who is concerned for her children's future on this planet, I was very happy with this book. I found it kid-friendly, kid-doable and fairly comprehensive.
