A SUPER BOOK! October 13, 2008 This book contains tons of helpful and informative info on feeding solids to your baby. I have just started my little girl on solids and she is loving it! On my lunch breaks mostly have I read this book. When I got it, I thought it would be impossible to read all of this, but it has turned out to be a very easy to read and thorough guide. I am not a picky eater and probably eat too much take out, but I do still believe that you are what you eat and it's very important to me to instil that into my daughter. So far she is loving her mashed avocados and sweet potatoes. I am very much forward to the day when she asks me for a before bedtime snack of grapes instead of american cheese and this book is one huge step in that direction!
The best baby food guide. October 6, 2008 Every new parent should own this book. There is so much good information including when to start solids, what to start with, safety, and making your own food. I especially like the suggested meal time schedules for the different stages in baby's development. I'll rarely give a five star review, but this book earned it!
Great guide for do-it-yourselfers! September 30, 2008 I love the month-by-month guide to introducing new foods for babies. Great recipes and nutritional info!
Very informative...great recipes September 15, 2008 I ordered this book after reading the reviews about it. The book is even better than expected and is really an easy read. It really gives useful information on how to make your own baby food and there are many "tips" on how to make baby life easier. The book is organized very well and the recipes are realistic for a Mom to be able to cook. The Author explains why certain things should and should not be done when making baby food or just feeding a baby/toddler.
I am now making my own yogurt after reading Super Baby Food, making baby food and freezing it in portion sizes so that is it available quickly. This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone interested in feeding their baby Real and Fresh food instead of jar or uggh PLASTIC container baby food. I find it amusing that the stores sell organic baby food packaged in plastic! Don't get me wrong I am not a fanatic...I use jar food if I need to, but when I can I try to use my homemade baby food. It really is not hard and much cheaper than buying premade food. It really isn't a mystery, jar food does not have any magic potion in it...you can do it if you can boil water!
very in depth about making your own food September 10, 2008 Very thorough book about making your own baby food. Gives basic information such as how to hard boil an egg. Tells how to make your own cereals, etc. Tells also about storing foods, (how long to freeze, etc). Also gives suggestions about what ages to introduce multiple types of foods.
