EASY TO USE AND SENSIBLE July 6, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
As a woman over 50 I thought I could never get my metabolism moving again! But the information in this book made it possible. I've lost 30 pounds to date (and I've started Pilates) and I can't think of a food I'm really missing. I recommend this book to all my girlfriends! Pamela D. IT REALLY WORKS July 3, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have been following this diet for years. I purchased this book for several friends and they have had similar success. It is easy to follow and fool proof. Remember to exercise along with the food program.
Dr, Gott is the best advertisement for this book June 26, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I first saw Dr. Gott in the emergency room of a hospital in 1968. He looks no different today, except for a few wrinkles and some grey in his hair. He hasn't gained an ounce as far as I can tell. He must be following this diet!
I've found it easy to follow with the great recipes. My most difficult problem is portion control. I've used a small plate for years and that helps. Also a food journal is a must at least in the beginning as you discover why you are overeating.
I don't see how you could fail on this plan of eating.
Save Some Money June 19, 2007 11 out of 23 found this review helpful
Meaninless book. The principle is good, however. All is says is to avoid anything with ANY kind of flour or sugar. The entire rest of the book is BS about being sure to exercise, portion control, or a few recipes at the end of the book.
Very good informative book May 12, 2007 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have not finished the book - but I do believe in it! My problem is wanting and trying to do what the book says to lose weight.
