Dr. Gott's No Sugar No Flour December 17, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Dr. Gott's "No Sugar, No Flour" diet is a sure fire way to lose pounds. I have maintained this diet 90% of the time for the last five years. I am in shape, great health, and I also get a lot of physical activity through running, walking, and playing beach volleyball. 10% of the time I allow myself treats that may contain A LITTLE sugar or flour, as life is too short to be too restrictive with the sense of taste that we were given! This book is great, it explains the diet in easy terms and is easy to implement since it is not expensive and you don't have to count calories. I suggest this diet to anyone as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This is not a diet! Dr. Gott is on the mark with his no flour, no sugar program. It works and you do not deprive yourself. You will not be hungry.

Dr.Gott's No Flour, No Sugar Diet October 11, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Dr. Gott's No Flour, No Sugar(TM) Diet This book is very easy and comprehendible reading. The explanations/rationale for omitting flour & sugar from our diets is understandable for the lay person. Many of the recipes are very easy to make and delicious, especially the Omelette Muffins, Coconut Pecan Granola, and the tortilla chips. My family even enjoys them. The meatballs were ok, but there is some ingredient missing that could make them more tasty, but I haven't figured out what. Of course when I added a little tiny bit of spaghetti sauce it made them much more palatable. I wish the book had more common recipes that people eat. I guess if you read the book you probably can come up with some new recipes, I just like things quick and easy! Just like any diet, you have to be on your toes everytime you're hungry, because it is very easy to fall into the snack mode and grab some chips, crackers and cheese, peanut butter and crackers. I can say that I have become much more aware of reading labels for the flour and sugar contents since reading this book!
A different kind of food plan September 8, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a good concept. You would need to learn to read labels very well. Taking the time to cook most of your own meals would work the best. It would be hard to eat out and make this work for you.
