4 out of 5 stars Best Way of Eating   February 29, 2008
6 out of 6 found this review helpful

I just love Dr. Gott. I have to thank him everyday for letting people know about eating healthy in his book NO FLOUR NO SUGAR. This is such a simple way of eating and I don't feel at all deprived. I have been able to find substitutes for all my favorite things and am so completely satisfied. I am diabetic and my sugar counts have gone way down, my cholesterol is down and of course my weight is down. It's very hard for me to lose weight, so I am doing this at a very slow pace, but 1-2 lbs. a week is wonderful to me. READ THIS BOOK TO BE HEALTHY and LOSE WEIGHT IN THE PROCESS.

5 out of 5 stars Common Sense Manual   February 24, 2008

As the title of this review states , this book is a "Common Sense Manual".It is simply written, easy to follow, and produces results . My only criticism is in the title ;the word "diet" should not be there . In its place shoud be "Life Changing Book" because no matter how much weight a person loses ,if they go back to their pre-diet habits ,the weight is soon to follow. But if one reads this book, follows the instruction and loses weight and makes permanent changes in their eating and drinking and physical activity ,the weight loss and benefits from the weight loss will also become permanent. Go figure!!

I love reading this book. Now I just have to get to it and try it. I read Dr Gott's article in my local newspaper everyday also. I learn alot from it. So I knew I would enjoy his books also. Give it a try.

I purchased this book for my parents. My dad is a diabetic and my mom had heard about this book and wanted to read it and try some of the recipes in it.

I purchased this book, read it, and turned around and sold it in the same week. Why? Simply put this book tells you nothing more than what we all know...cutting calories and exercise is the only way to lose weight. In other words, Dr. Gott tells us that a "calorie is a calorie" so in my humble opinion I ask. Why do without things we like? Why don't we just reduce the amount, exercise, and not feel deprived?
