Finally a simple way to make meals May 5, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a member of Weight Watchers and absolutely love the Hungry Girl website. So I was soooo happy when she came out with a cookbook. I have printed several of the recipes from her website, but it is handy to have them right at the tip of my fingers. I would recommend this book to anyone who was trying to change their eating habits to a better, more healthy lifestyle. Get two or three books and share with your friends, I did.
I heart HG May 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's about time, HG. Now I don't have to search your website every time I need a recipe. You rock! Finally, a collection of recipes that taste good, are easy and fast to make, don't require bizarre ingredients, and don't contain pound after disgusting pound of butter. From all of us who are fat girls at heart, thanks so much for publishing this book!
weeeee! May 5, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I absolutely love Hungry Girl and all the recipes in this book are great for single-serving, low-calorie, fun, and delicious snacks or meals! I just want to point out that anyone that has criticism of this book really just isn't the intended audience. This book is for real people that want to maintain a low weight but also know they won't be able to survive without their favorite treats! Criticism such as saying the food is not necessarily healthy is lame, as this is not intended to be a health book. Believe me, there's a number of different sources you can go to if all you want to hear is, "Eat your veggies!" Very well done, Hungry Girl! The cobbler recipes are great, btw. :]
AWESOME COOKBOOK!! May 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had been getting the Hungry Girl daily e-mails for a couple of months and was thinking about ordering the book. Well, my boss beat me to it and she got me an autographed copy from the Hungry Girl herself!!
What a fun cookbook and it is SO much fun to create the yummy recipes and feel guilt free when eating them.
I think this is a book every girl ought to own!!
Where's the WW Points values? May 5, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really enjoy Lisa's recipes in the on-line newsletter. I don't attend Weight Watchers but my daughter-in-law does, so I ordered a book for her, as well as myself. I was disappointed, however, to see there was no listing of "points". What's up, Lisa?
