I love all of the Stern's books. And maybe I am also a tad prodigious, simply because I love Southern food the most. And I loved their books on The Cottage and the Old Post Office. This is a good one, but on my scale, only about 4 stars.

Fantastic July 20, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my mother's birthday. She has baked six of the recipes already. I went home for the weekend and tried the Smore Brownies she made, they were unbelievable. My mom said the recipes are easy to bake and they taste delicious. She is very happy with her birthday present.
chocolate chip cookie recipe off the bag July 10, 2005 14 out of 30 found this review helpful
I'm 43 and remember making this identical chocolate chip cookie recipe which was then listed on the bag of Hershey's chocolate chips. I just checked and the recipe currently on the bag is different. With this reputation and a foreword from Ina Garten saying "Make the chocolate chip cookies" I'd expect an original recipe.
