This is my favorite scone cookbook (I have several) and it is dog-eared, flour stained and remains to this day one of my most often used books. I bought the book not knowing how to make scones and found the directions easy, the ingredients readily available and every recipe has turned out delicious. From working with this book I have also learned the basics of scone cookery and have gone from a rank beginner to being able to create my own scone recipes easily. Buy it! You will not regret it.

This little baby packs a selection from the whole scone universe - traditional, sweet and savory. There is a recipe for every taste. All this in a small, low cost book. What a combination!

I personally didn't care for the book as a whole, though some of the recipies were fine. I would make different scones using this book and they would still be left over three days later- with 3 kids that says something. Perhaps I am just a purist at heart- give me a currant scone any day!

I was a bit skeptic about making scones but once I got started I could not stop!! they are delicious, easy and quick to make. Great way to impress friends and family and the smell. . .fantastic!!!

Every recipe I have tried from this cookbook has been fantastic. There are some wonderful combinations such as orange and chocolate scones. The directions are easy, the ingredients are usually common items that are easy to find and all the recipes I have tried turned out yummy. Although it is a small book, in size, it is not small in yumminess or easiness. I have to admit that scones have become a staple in our house, due in a large part, to this book. Enjoy.
