5 out of 5 stars Best thing since ... sliced bread??   October 21, 2008

I have always wanted to make good, crusty bread consistently -- and with this book I do that. The authors suggest that you can bake a loaf a day with this dough in your refrigerator, but I like to make all four loaves at once and freeze them. Loaves are the right size fir a two-person household, and the ingredient list is simple beyond belief! If you like home-made bread, you should get this book; you never need to be out of fresh-baked loaves again.

What a great bread book! I am so glad I purchased this item. With each recipe I have made I have had success. I recomend this book to all bread bakers and want to be bread bakers.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful "easy" home made bread   October 8, 2008

I really love this book. I'm trying to eat more whole foods that are easy to make at home - this book allows me to meet this goal. I've made two batches of the main dough and just bought some rye flour to try that recipe. My kids love it too. Living in the Midwest my oven is on a lot in the colder months so it's easy to pop in a loaf for dinner or first thing in the morning to bring to work and share w/ co-workers over a bowl of soup during lunch.

5 out of 5 stars Great for non bakers!   October 6, 2008

I'm not a baker in any way... but this book was recommended by a chef. Our loaves, pitas, pretzels, pizzas, are all fantastic. It's so easy to create a quick, tasty loaf of bread. The entire house smells great. My friends are envious of the pictures I email them of the loaves. You won't be disappointed, or frustrated in attempts to make these breads. We highly recommend it. I'm currently on Amazon to buy my third copy, second as a gift.

5 out of 5 stars I'm Finally Baking Bread   October 4, 2008

I have always been intimidated by bread baking - believing that I had neither the time nor the skill to bake my family's bread. I considered buying a machine, but some sweet girls gave me a heads up about this book and gave me the recipe for European Peasant Bread. I tried it, loved it, and ordered the book. For several weeks I have been making a loaf nearly every day and my family loves the fresh bread. I am singing the praises of this book to friends who would also like to bake for their families but have very little time. I cannot wait to try more recipes from this book!
