I think this is a beautiful book and offers wonderful ideas on gorgeous cookie decorations, but it is WAY too advanced for me, a good baker but beginning decorator. I am returning it, because I don't even think the generic cookie tips are worth keeping, as the whole thing is too advanced. If you are a good decorator already and have the talent and time and willingness to make elaborate gift-quality cookies, this is truly a find, but otherwise, I'd skip it. I was really just looking for a book with fun decorating ideas for cookies for kids beyond the usual gingerbread man or pumpkin-cut sugar cookie with orange sprinkles! Creative ideas I need, but beautiful I cannot achieve.

This is a fabulous cookie book. Wonderful ideas and so far, the recipes have been excellent. The Meringue Powder Royal Icing is far superior to any that I have tried. The pictures are great and a lot of helpful hits are included. Truly a beautiful and useful cookie book.

What a beautiful book this is! If you have a passion for decorating cookies and are looking for ideas that are above the average, try this one. Wonderful classy ideas, great pictures of the end results and clear patterns and descriptions. Sure, these cookies will take more time than average to make, but the end result will definately be worth it.

Don't get me wrong. This book was beautifully written and she has some beautiful ideas. The problem with this book is, it does not seem like very practical designs and ideas for the average normal citizen. I could see most of these ideas done in a very upscale bakery or hotel or for some hollywood gathering. Not for the regular person. She has beautiful work but when you bring it home do not be suprised if you decide to just look at it and sit it on the shelf and probably never put it to good use.
