Doable projects even for me! November 8, 2008
I love this book! I have never been able to make pretty cakes or cupcakes let alone trying to create animals, faux food, etc. But now I can! They may not be quite as pretty as in the book but they still look good. My 2-year-old loved the monkey cupcakes I made for her birthday. And I just finished the shark/ocean-themed cupcakes for my son's birthday. Sometimes I have problems finding some of the ingredients for the projects but it's easy to substitute other things. For example, I couldn't find mini ice cream cones to make the buoys so I just shaped the Twinkies that were left over from making the sharks. I can't wait to make the turkey/place card cupcakes for Thanksgiving!

I love this book! Although I have been cake decorating for 25+ years I found this book to be very useful and easy to follow. There were a lot of really cute ideas. I have only tried a few so far but I know I will be using it alot more in the future. My 9 year old can't wait to make the tv dinner cupcakes!
Fantastic! A must have. November 4, 2008
This is a fantastic book with simple, clear, descriptive instructions and large detailed photographs. The small cupcakes are much less intimidating than a large cake for new decorators (honestly, if you bake a batch, you can practice on a few and eat those right away!). I received this as a gift after having it on my Amazon wish list for months. Don't bother thinking about it -- this one is a must have!!
Good and Cute November 1, 2008
The first time I saw this book in the store, I fell in love with it. The pictures are beautiful and the decorations are cute and ingenious, but I put it off thinking I really didn't need another recipe book. I decided I wanted to make cupcakes for my daughters first birthday and in preparation have been trying out a lot of time consuming recipes, not being very happy with the results, I purchased this book online and have tried out the chocolate and pumpkin cupcakes. Both were a great success and everybody that has been trying out my cupcake attempts for the past few weeks said that the pumpkin ones are their favorite so far.
I really recommend this book mostly if you want to be inspired to create fun and cute cupcakes; but if you are looking for a lot recipes, this might not be the book for you, it has a just a few but they are very good non the less and fast too, which will let you concentrate on the decoration part more.

Fantastic decorating for a beginner cupcake decorator like myself. So glad I came across this book. Everybody I know loves cupcakes and its such a pleasant surprise to them when I offer cupcakes rather than a slice of cake. Hooray to the authors.
