Great Book April 17, 2003 I borrowed this book from the school social worker and would now like to get one myself. It covers every problem you could think of. I think it is a great book for new or experienced parents. This book should get back into print. Should be required reading for new parents.

I'm a nurse working for the Dept. of Mental Health as a Behavior Specialist, and I need a new book. The pages are getting worn from the constant wear. This book is used daily. Please bring it back!
Please bring this book back to print September 9, 2000 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a counselor and have been recommending this book to other parents, but I see now it is no longer in print. Please bring this book back! It is the easiest source I know of for dealing with a wide range of behaviors in a concrete manner.Mary Roper, M.S.W.

I am a School Counselor, many of the children that I treat have been referred due to problems with behavior, and most of the time it all goes back to parenting skills. I advised parents several times to buy this book, without knowing that you didn't sell it any more. This books gives parents practical and easy ideas on how to help their children behave at home and school,as a result I will be gratefull if you will bring this book back. Thank you! Claudia J. This book is the recking ball to ALL undesirable behaviors in children. The charts, procedures, and step by step graphs that help you and your child monitor progress are fabulous. It really helps one teach responsibility and consequence to children while instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment by using positive rewards and outcomes. It is a wonderful aid which helps parents identity stubborn or contrite attitudes in their children, and provides them with a plan of action for helping children learn to identify and tackle the negative feelings they may have toward specific things they don't want to do, but have to do. (Ex. teeth brushing, fighting with siblings, throwing tantrums, being lazy, etc.) My 'fridge is loaded with behavioral modification success stories. It's at the point now where my 5 and 6 year olds remind one another and help spot each other's acceptable and unacceptable behaviors- and without tattling. It has actually brought about the art of negotiation and cooperation between them as well. I just can't say enough about this book! YOU CAN'T LET IT BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES!!
