I received this book as a graduation gift. I moved to another country and couldn't afford to call home everytime I had a question. This book became my homemaking "bible." I still use it regularly after 14 years of being on my own. I can testify the hardback is worth the investment. I, too, use this as my gift of choice for graduates and newlyweds!!

This is a wonderful book for anyone! The recipes are easy and delicious. I always have the ingredients in my cupboards! It's a staple for kids going out on their own.

Nutrition, shopping, recipes, laundry and health hints and how-to suggestions - it's all here. Although my views differ a little here and there, this is a great little helper for anyone.

I got this as a graduation gift and used it through my college years for cleaning stains, first aid, cooking. A wonderful resource book for anyone who has wondered where your mom learned all those bits of wisdom!
