Healthy Options April 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am anxious to try some of these recipes, though as a member of Weight Watchers, some of them do appear to be a little higher in points than I would prefer. Overall, great addition to my collection.
Healthy yet good tasting food April 13, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Tosca offers different ideas to make food healthy but not boring. I have made a few of the items in the cookbook and they have all tasted good. I like how she incorporates pasta and grains to recipes and keeps it healthy. The only complaint I have is that a lot of the recipes do take some time to prepare. For a working individual, I could only make some of the recipes on the weekend because it just took too long during weekdays. I also found it difficult to find some items from the recipes in a regular grocery store.
Not for me April 10, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchased this book and was looking forward to making some of the meals. However, on closer examination, I realized it used many ingredients that I didn't care to eat; access to ingredients was not a problem since I live near a Whole Food's Market. Also there were many grain recipes and others similar to ones I already have for the Mediterranean eating plan I follow.I returned the book and will use many of the recipes I have collected from magazines and other books. If you do not have any whole food recipes, this book might be helpful for you.
excellent clean eating resource April 6, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am new to clean eating and I found this book to be a great resource for recipes and tips on the clean eating lifestyle. The recipes are easy, fairly quick, and vegetarian friendly. I highly recommend this book.
Not a Diet March 28, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My cravings for sweets have been replaced with cravings for fruit. The loaded oatmeal is fabulous and the best part is I did not snack between breakfast and lunch. You do not feel hungry between meals!!
