This is a beautiful book with lots of color photographs, but it made me uncomfortable. It is a little too professional and too slick, and not at all the kind of parties that I would throw for my kids. I found the ideas and suggestions way too complex for the average mom to pull off. My time is limited and I can't spend hours on end preparing for each component of a birthday party. Plus, there were lots of ideas for decorating and setting the stage, but I would have liked more ideas for games and activites.

When I first saw this book in a store, I was very impressed. The ideas are original and fun and the accompanying pictures really help spark the imagination. I am sure I will be using this book often. What I appreciated most was the "everyday" party themes, i.e. "rainy day." Every day is worthy of a celebration and this wonderful book will help.

Another hit from FamilyFun!! If you've ever been stumped for birthday party ideas, this is one kick-butt book. I used it last year for my son's 13th party and let's just say his party ROCKED!!! All the kids had a BLAST!!!

This book is packed with so many great ideas for parties. Everything from invitations, food, games, decorations, favors etc for each type of party. The cakes are all so cute! This book is a must buy for every family.
