5 out of 5 stars Wonderful guide   April 4, 2008
This book does an excellent job of walking you through all aspects of a career transition from restaurant management into a corporate sales environment.

Mr. Petrucci does a great job of highlighting both the subtle and the extreme cultural differences between operations and a sales career; but also leads you through the process in a way that allows you to gain confidence with each step you take down the path.

The anectdotes are so right on target that it feels like the author became my personal mentor along the way and I became more sold on the value of this book, the more I applied it to my own work and career shift.

It is now on my gift list for my other cohorts who are still in restaurants, working their tails off, and seeking a new direction that will allow them to utilize their valuable skills in a way that brings work-life balance back into their lives.

This book is a valuable resource to have on such a journey.
