5 out of 5 stars Perfect for days of weakness!!   October 22, 2008

HungryGirl is my savior!! I lost 30 pounds a while ago and I'm trying to keep it off. However, my PMS cravings can get so bad, I can eat like a 6" man and still be starving!! Thus, I've gained 8 pounds back. So now, instead of running to McDonald's or shoveling down a whole bag of chips when the cravings strike, I break out my HG cookbook! I'm a little surprised about the backlash on this book! I think this isn't a replacement for everyday eating, but a replacement for junkfoods when you just HAVE to have some! I don't like eating processed food, but I find that Lisa has found the lesser evil. I love the Faux Fudge! It's fantastic and tastes more sinful than it really is. :) Keep it up Lisa!

And honestly, you shouldn't expect diet food to taste exactly or better than the original! It's a level of compromise you have to come to terms with if you want your waist to stay the same.

3 out of 5 stars I wanted to love it...   October 20, 2008

Many of the recipes aren't even recipes -- very little actual food preparation involved. I read through the whole book twice and haven't really found anything I care to try. I like the attitude, but wouldn't buy it again.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic resource for EVERY BODY!!   October 18, 2008
I love this book!! I subscribe to the Hungry Girl daily e-mail. The tips, recipes and information is invaluable to all, not just those on diets.

5 out of 5 stars Hungry Girl- great resource!   October 17, 2008
This is a great book! Lots of easy recipes for people who are busy and on the go! A fun book to read through and to share!

1 out of 5 stars Bad, Bad, Bad   October 13, 2008

What a disappointment!! This is the most basic cookbook I've ever seen. If you really have absolutely NO CLUE how to cook lowfat then maybe it's for you - otherwise pick anything else. I have 30 plus low calorie/low fat cookbooks and this one is the worst by far.
