awful November 7, 2004 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
This book is awful.
I'm assuming the other reviewers have written positive things because they agree with Mr. Simon's political views.
This book should come with the following warning: May cause drowsiness.
Heartfelt mystery May 30, 2002 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a complex and deeply felt tale that uses the mystery form brilliantly. I am great fan of Simon's books.
Moses Wine for a new era March 3, 2002 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This may be the best book in a superb series.
Brilliant, better than the author's The Big Fix March 2, 2002 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I think this is the best Moses Wine novel.
Moses Wine saga in our time March 2, 2002 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been following Roger L. Simon since the publication of THE BIG FIX in the Seventies when his character was the well-known hippie detective played by Dreyfuss in the movie. That was fun, but this book, written in the late Nineties, is much deeper, finer. The late Ross MacDonald said Simon would be the next great PI writer and his was right.
