cooking for people on the go December 7, 2007 Amazingly easy and delicious recipes are in this little book of wonders. The recipe I contributed is very simple and economical. I continue to fix this little gem. It originated in the barracks of PMRF, Barking Sands, Kauai, HI. Little money, hungry appetites, and young sailor determination created this tuna based dish.
I hope you enjoy the assortment of recipes included in "The Write Ingredients".
Perfect gift idea! December 7, 2007 I got my copy at the June '07 Lori Foster/Dianne Castell annual Reader/Writer get-together, and had one of my own recipes put into it. Thumbing through the rest of the book, I came across a lot of simple and fun recipes that I will definitely use myself. I liked the variety, and it's a wonderful gift idea for those on your list who like to cook without a lot of time or fuss. ----An added bonus is that it's a lovely present for anyone who loves to read romances because many of the recipes are from a variety of favorite authors. If that wasn't enough, proceeds go towards supporting the troops. This is a wonderful project, and I not only got a useful book, but one that helps a cause near and dear to my heart.
great gift for readers and nonreaders alike! December 7, 2007 Maybe I'm prejudiced because I have a recipe in this book, but I ordered seven copies for Christmas gifts, and my husband looked through one. He NEVER reads cookbooks. The dear man thought the recipes looked like things he wanted to eat, and even earmarked several for me to make. Believe me, this is a miracle. The recipes in here are staples for busy people who like to eat well. Does it get any better?
Love this Cookbook! December 7, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this cookbook and I have an entire cupboard full of other cookbooks to choose from. This book has recipes that I know will work. They are time-tested, not by culinary artists who know the difference between a pinch and a touch, but by real women. Women like me who have little time to cook but love to eat - women with families, women who take dishes of food to social situations. There's a bit of everything in this book, and fun stories behind the recipes.
