 Recipe deck...like the book April 16, 2008

If you are interested in purchasing this deck of 50 of Chiarello's "entertaining" recipes,then you may want to look through his book called this first: "AT HOME WITH MICHAEL CHIARELLO:EASY ENTERTAING".
The reason I say this is because his "entertaining" volume mentioned above, is exactly like this specific "entertainment deck", and the actual "Chiarello Entertaining" book gives a bit more detail & information. Also, the book's photos are very large and beautiful,whereas the deck's photos on the front don't necessarily coincide w/ the actual recipes.
For the price, though, and if you are giving this deck as a present, then this deck is much easier to wrap, since it is not as large as Michael's huge cookbooks.
Also, if you do not like olive oil, then you may want to browse through Michael`s books FIRST, and note his cooking style, since he uses Extra Virgin Olive oil is just about everything.
In my opinion, his FOOD NETWORK cooking show is much better than this deck. But as I said before, if you want to give this deck as a "stocking stuffer" then (FOR A LOW PRICE) this deck might fit your bill.
PS: Also, as the previous commentator stated, many of the deck's recipes can seem redundant. Just an opinion.

I received this item as a gift, and have subsequently purchased it as a gift for several of my friends. The recipes on the cards are quick and easy. They provide me with lots of appetizer options, which are well appreciated since that is my entertaining weakness. Some of it is redundant, but none the less, I really like these cards and find them very useful.
