I have had to purchase this book several times!!!! Everyone who sees it on the coffee table seems to permanently borrow it from me. This is one of those books you need to keep an eye on or it will walk out with your next guest! I suggest you use one of those chains the bank uses to keep their pens from being stolen.
sweet and fun October 18, 2000 1 out of 2 found this review helpful

A delightful surprise at every turn of the page, and yet.... May 28, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A delightful surprise at every turn of the page, yet vaguely familiar at the same time. As though I'd known Doug Jones for years and had heard him tell me these stories over coffee at my kitchen table. The recipes are a little involved, complicated and ambitious for an unadventurous cook as myself, but the stories were hysterically funny and I learned alot about some very wierd vegetables. I liked the picture of Doug on the back. He's a handsome guy. He should have his own TV show.
This guy is hysterical and doesn't even know it! February 17, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
PLEASE PLEASE somebody make a movie out of this book! I want to know what happened to him after the wire debacle! I can't find any other books by the guy. Is this a first book? Why isn't it a best seller? anyone? anyone?
