A little disappointed March 22, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The content was light and there were only 5 folder pockets in the binder for storage. Would've been nice if they had one for every category in the book, ex. flowers, cake, reception, food, etc. It is nice to have a binder for all this but more of an organizer would've been better. I expected more from Martha, more ideas, more pictures. Just More.
Great content, cheap binder March 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First, it arrived with one of the rivets broken (completely sealed - just broken) so I had to fasten another one on to keep everything together. The contents of the binder are wonderful - great ideas, planning tips, and something I can write notes with to pass on to my children. I wish the folders in the back were higher quality, one of them I had to turn into a brochure holder because the excess glue inside prevented full size papers from fitting properly. All in all, I don't regret the purchase and it has a lot of helpful information, just poor quality.
Love it! March 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this planner. It also has ideas in it so it's not just a planner. Plenty of space for everything and you can just copy the pages if you need more space.
OK - not impressed February 16, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I gave this 3 stars only because of the floral section - the photo pages of different colors/types of flowers were great. Mine came damaged and after looking through the rest of the content I decided it wasn't worth exchanging and just returned it. I prefer online planning sites and excel to photocopying pages and writing details like guest addresses out by hand.
Content good, packaging flimsy January 4, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this planner site unseen as it was wrapped in plastic at the bookstore. It seems like compared to your average planner, the content is very good. Particularly the color pictures of the flowers---extremely helpful. So if you want the planning tools this provides, then by all means, great purchase compared to other planners I looked at.
However, any bride with an Excel spreadsheet can pretty much create her own tools for tracking budget, guests, RSVPs, gifts, etc. I'd rather do that electronically anyway than on the xerox-able sheets in the planner. After I bought it, I sort of realized that other than the flower pictures, I did not learn much that I had not already learned by using the internet and creating my own tools in Excel.
Also, once I started stuffing this binder full of contracts/pictures/ideas, the rings would not stay closed and ultimately I transferred the whole thing to a sturdier 3 inch binder I bought at Office Depot.
So, all in all, if you want a paper planner and you love Martha...this is a good purchase. But if you are an organized DIY-er, I think you can make your own binder for planning and use other tools (the Knot, bridal mags, Bridal Bargains) to get the content you need.
