4 out of 5 stars Begginers Guide to Libertarianism   November 11, 2008

This book is an excellent introduction to many of the concepts promoted by both the constitution and libertarian movements. Ron Paul does an excellent job at keeping the language of this book clear and concise for the general public. It is an excellent short read and should be taken into consideration by all United States citizens.

5 out of 5 stars Changed My Way of Thinking   November 11, 2008

Like most mainstream Republicans, I believed the lie that Ron Paul was "just another Ross Perot" and I never even gave him a second glance. Now that the election is over I decided to read this book. My God, what a mistake we true conservatives made by not taking a closer look at Dr. Paul. He is the face of fiscal conservatism and his ideas are so obvious and common sense that it's pathetic nobody else is saying them. How could this man have been in Washington for so long and not have been corrupted by the same system to hijacked the Bush presidency. If only we could all read the book, go back in time and vote for Dr. Paul in the primaries. If nothing else, we should all now read the book and keep his principles in mind when we vote in 2012, even if Dr. Paul is too old to run at that time. A must read for any true conservative.

Getting back to and being guided by the founding fathers Constitution of the USA, gee what a great idea! Ron Paul for president.

1 out of 5 stars More Pipedream from Paul   November 10, 2008

First of all the first review giving this book one star, states that politicans can't excert power over people...Listen, buy a book called The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and than tell us rather or not politicans can excert power over people.

As for Paul. He is living in a free-market fantasy. If you really want to understand how free-market capitalism worked, read The Shock Doctrine and find out how wonderful Paul's suggestions really are. And if, by some wierd act, he ever became President, he would be a lameduck

5 out of 5 stars Phenomenal   November 9, 2008

A brilliant, brief, clear, concise overview of politics. If "public" (i.e. government) schools have any required reading lists, this should be on them.
