The BEST recipe book ever!!!! It adds "spunk" to what are normally boring diet foods. A great addition to any collection of recipes. Makes Healthy Eating easy.

Wonderful book. Lots of recipes and suggestions on how to eat better today.Surprising info about everyday foods, some of it good and some of it that makes you want to avoid that food. Well worth the price, would encourage anyone trying to eat better and healthier to read this.

I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews on this book since I am a subscriber to Hungry Girl emails. When I saw the book at Costco for the same price listed here, and was able to flip through it, I decided to purchase it anyway. So far, I am not disappointed!!
I made the nachos this evening for my husband and I (both of us are on weight watchers, and this isn't a treat I've been able to justify the points on in the past). The flavor was delicious! I've also made some of the wraps for lunch and such, and really enjoyed them as well. Sometimes I do add extra seasoning if I think something sounds a little bland, but Hungry Girl clearly states you should season to your tastes with herb and seasonings that don't add calories.
Best of all, my kids like many of these recipes, so I don't have to make meals and dishes for "us" and meals and snacks for "them" - a problem in the past with other cookbooks. An added bonus is the recipes are fast and easy, and most of them have ingredients that are very easy to find. Even with baseball season upon us, I've had time to whip up quick and nutritious meals for my family, and not resort to feeding them off of the snack stand because I didn't have time to make a meal.
Also, there are lots of snacks and treats in here, particularly good for those of us with a sweet tooth! I really enjoy the very subtle taste of the pumpkin pure in many of the baked goods. It isn't overwhelming at all, and in most of the recipes, isn't noticeable at all (if you don't like pumpkin!)
