This has very good, easy recipes for the southern cook. You may not like it if this type of food is not your favorite. Personally, I think it is a good book, well thought out and designed.

Great cookbook! Recipes just like my mom used to make and the girl can sing too!
Like a mini-bio. May 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I read cookbooks like others read novels. This is like a mini-biography and fun to read plus filled with great recipes. This book more than "normalizes" two GREAT stars.
Cook Book May 12, 2008 This is a wonderful cookbook. Especially good for someone who is not confident in their ability as a cook.
BECK'S REVIEW May 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I thought this was overall a pretty good cookbook. Most of the recipes were simple and down-to-earth. Being a Georgia girl myself, I could relate to this type of food. I also enjoyed all the pictures. This is a cookbook worth taking a chance on!
