Conservas Ortiz has launched the first premium White Tuna with a year of aging its Family Reserve. Like a good wine, it is kept to age for at least a year in our cellars after packaging and the oil continues to enhance the flavor of the tuna, almost as if it were curing it. The flavor becomes richer, more pronounced. This shipment was caught and packed in 2004. The present Conservas Ortiz respects tradition, it respects the inshore fishing season and its tides and only purchases individually line-caught Albacore Tuna. This means that their quality is based on the respect we show for the fish they use. The preparation of our top-class products is reflected in the unchanging care they take over their presentation. At their cannery in Ondarroa (Vizcaya), they prepare White Tuna in olive oil and White Tuna Belly Fillets.
