Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Keep the Westclox Nap Mate in a bag or purse and doze off anywhere without fear of sleeping through an important meeting or class. Measuring 5 by 4-1/2 by 3-3/4 inches when open, it's just the right size for stashing in an office drawer for the occasional afternoon siesta.

In addition, it also makes a great travel alarm or bedside clock. The face features an easy-to-read LCD lighted display, with quick access to the Snooze/Light button as well as other settings. Best of all, the nap feature lets you program the alarm in 15-minute increments with the simple press of a button. The sleek case folds flat to fit neatly in a suitcase, then folds out to make its own stand. The Nap Mate runs on a single AA battery included with purchase. --Mary Park

This is a great little clock. Mine finally died after about 8 years
and I really miss it because of the nap feature which is hard to find.

5 out of 5 stars Great Little Clock   October 19, 2007

This great little alarm clock came in handy in my travels. I would definately suggest this to anyone that needs a travel alarm clock. Setting the time and the alarm time is extremely easy. It also has a button you can hit for a light to see the time at night. You also have the option to set a nap timer alarm. It is also small enough to through in your purse to use as a watch during the day. Definately glad I decided on this clock after reading reviews here on Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars You CAN replace the battery - it's in the hinge!   October 13, 2007

As a lover of the nap-timer, I was very sad when my Westclox alarm "died". I kept it and then carried it around in my purse looking for a screwdriver small enough to take it apart and replace the battery (a 00 works). The gentleman at Hardware Sales, our wonderful old-fashioned local hardware store - the kind with very knowledgeable staff who help you find that little thing you need - found that the center back of the hinge is actually a battery cover. No need for the 00 screwdriver. No need to buy a new clock. It takes an LR44 (Energizer 357) battery - the kind that so many devices use. Simple! I still wish there were more styles available with a nap-timer...

5 out of 5 stars Travel clock can also work as a minute timer   September 26, 2007

I've had two of these clocks for the past 10 years and absolutely love them! They run on a button battery but I've only had to change them once or twice over the years. I notice that the clue they are running down is when the light button gets dimmer, then you know you have to get the battery repaced. About the nap feature: I have discovered that if you hold the nap button and it shows 00:00, you can tap the minute button immediately and get a timer feature for under 15 minutes OR you can tap the nap button for the 15 minute increment and quickly tap the minute button to get a time in between the 15 minute increments. You have to be quick to do this!
