Product Description
This European device cores a pineapple and removes the meat with as little waste as possible. Depending on the fruit's size, you snap on one of three corers. After slicing off the pineapple's top, you center the plastic corer on the flesh and begin turning it clockwise. When you reach the bottom, simply pull out the corer and, with it, the pineapple's juicy flesh in a neat, ready-to-eat stack. Use the intact shell to hold a fruit salad or tropical sorbet.

This pineapple slicer peels, cores, and slices a fresh specimen in less than 30 seconds so there is no excuse for ever buying canned pineapple again. To use this ingenious little tool, you must first cut the top off of your fresh pineapple. Next, place the slicer in the middle of the pineapple and push down while turning the handle in a clockwise motion.  Makes cutting a pineapple a breeze November 21, 2008
I've had my slicer/corer for over 6 years now and it still works great. There have been one or two occasions where the pineapple "shredded", but it must have been related either to the ripeness or type of the fruit itself. The vast majority of uses have produced even, neat spirals with little or no mess. I brought some pineapple in to work today and a couple of my co-workers thought I had bought it pre-sliced!
Yes, there have been a couple times when it's been more difficult than others to pull the meat out of the shell, but again this has been rare. And I've never had any problem with the handle being loose. I find myself buying pineapples much more often now because they were such a pain to cut before I found this tool. You can also use the shell afterward as a decorative fruit bowl.
Maybe it doesn't work well on Hawaaian pineapples, but I guess that's a small price to pay for living in Hawaii!

I love pineapples but am too lazy to deal with peeling them etc. This product is a lifesaver. Now I can eat as many pineapples as I want and really fast too. My only grouse would be that the slices come out too thick, I was used to cutting them thinner when I used to peel them with a knife. But I might be able to live with that. Great great product , a must buy if u are a pineapple lover.
CUT A WAY August 31, 2008
THIS PRODUCT LET ME CUT DIFFERENT SIZE PINEAPPLES WHILE LETTING ME SAVE THE OUTSIDE FOR PINACOLADA.

The device does work, but tends to crush the meat if you push to hard through the pineapple. Gentle twisting works better, but takes more time. I have used the metal version and it works better.

This product is perfect to core and cut your pineapple. The pineapple is ready to serve in just a couple minutes. I love this pineapple corer and recommend it to all of my friends!
