Expected much more for the price! October 10, 2008 Bought two of these hoping (praying?) that the ultimate solution to ice trays might be in these pricey items. Wrong! Filling them is the main problem. The cube indentations are not "interlinked" with a water channel so each individual cube has to be filled one-by-one. If you happen to over-fill (very easy if you're impatient or in a hurry) then a flat sheet of ice will form covering all the cube indentations making it impossible to eject them "one-by-one". I also expect the flexible bases of each individual cube compartment to split any day given the force needed to push them out! They are also very large (due to their individual cube "compartments") and take up a LOT of freezer space for only 15 cubes. Save your money and buy several inexpensive trays for the price of one of these and just chuck them when they "expire"!
Not bad. December 21, 2007 The lid isn't exactly air-tight, but the silicone bottoms definitely make it easier to pop out the baby food or ice.
Not such a tight seal as hoped December 21, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was hoping for a tray that would not leak and keep the cubes fresh for a longer period of time. Not the case here. Its also difficult to get the cubes out unless you run hot water on the back. And I dont expect the flexible bottom to last very long either.
Great for homemade baby food November 19, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this ice tray to freeze homemade baby food. I like the cover so that the food does not get "contaminated" while it's freezing. Then the soft bottoms make it so easy to pop out the cubes (letting it stand on the counter for a few minutes makes it easier) and place in a bag for storage. Cleans up well in the dishwasher. I think it would be good for ice too. And the shape is really cute!!
N"ice" trays! August 23, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Soft silicone "push button" bottoms make the cubes simple to come out with a soft to medium press.
The cover keeps the ice from absorbing odors. The cover also lets you pop out cubes while the tray is still closed and then safely take it off upside down and have a separate, flat tray to pluck cubes from instead of having the tray hover over your glass and hope the ice falls in.
The design makes it to where you only take out amount of cubes you want. No more avalanches. No more random cubes popping out. No more ice on the floor.
The trays are not only stackable, but they also interlock, so you don't drop a tray.
Things you will never have to do again:
-Wait a couple of minutes. -Run the tray under warm water. -Bend the tray back and forth. -Kill your thumb removing cubes like with other silicone trays. -Wipe up spilled water.
I bought two of these. I will be buying a couple more in a few weeks.
