Best tongs I've found so far January 2, 2009
I initially bought these based on the Amazon reviews. Since, my wife has bought other pairs and I've tried various in stores. *Nothing* compares. They bounce-back is perfect, the feel is great, and the ability to hang and lock the tongs in a single motion is awesome..

Looked at all on Amazon at the time - summer 2008. Based on other reviewers of this & the others I SO glad this is the one I bought. It is sturdy enough to handle whatever we cook in our nonstick cookware and now my husband will quit using the stainless ones we've had for years that was starting to scratch my pans! As always, cuisinart quality comes through on this one. 12" is good for us, 9" OK for only some items - don't bother with the 16" unless you're just going to use it for grilling, just too big on the stovetop.

These tongs work great! The push/pull ring on the end used to close/open the tongs wors great, very smooth and much better than the standard slider bar. The ends are just right too.. not too floppy so they don't manipulate the food, and not too hard so that they mangle it. Fantastic!

Very well made tongs that I use on anythting from serving salad, to flipping grilled cheese in the nonstick, to turning sausage in the cast iron. The high temp silcone tips are great and rated at 575 degrees can be used on the grill as well. I liked them so well I bought the 16" stainless pair for grill. The locking mechanism is easy to open/close, again quality.
Buy them you will not be sorry.
