Mouth-blown of borosilicate glass, which is quite a bit thinner yet much more durable than regular glass, the two Pavina glasses in this set are safe for both the microwave and dishwasher, resist temperature swings, and resist scratching and dulling. Care should be taken when placing ice cubes in an empty glass, and metal spoons for stirring are discouraged. --Ann Bieri Editor's Note: Because each glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight.  Unique espresso glasses June 30, 2008
these are really cute and perfect size for that single shot espresso drink! I don't feel any kind of heat coming through these glasses due to the double wall design. but they are very fragile and must be washed and handled with care.

The double wall is great! Really keeps the outside cool. And for the people who have written bad reviews about their size; Hey, if you're pouring more than 2 ounces....get a bigger glass! These are perfect for a 1-ounce shot with room left for a bit of cream (or Torani's Sugar-free Chocolate syrup, or both!) And sure they're a little fragile... they're GLASS! Just don't toss them around and they'll be fine.
And as far as the shipping, mine came packed good enough to survive a plane crash! Summary:Nothing bad to say here. They're all good.

The Bodum Pavina 2-Ounce Double-Wall Thermo Glasses (Espresso/Shot), Set of 2 are very attractive glassware. I can't believe they are dishwasher and microwave safe too. They work better for just espresso, not cappucino. I've ordered the 3 oz. ones for cappucino now too. I like the whole selection of this glassware and plan to order more in the future.

I use them everyday for Saki, espresso, and Vodka. Many reviewers are expressing dissatisfaction with fragility, but I haven't found it to be true. Knock on wood..
