Great Gift Idea! January 23, 2008
With the included foil cutter, this Screwpull model cork remover is a smart, quick and easy product to use, as well as a great gift. The foil cutter is a safe way to remove the foil cap on all wine bottles with ease and the cork screw removes the cork from the bottle without pulling as well as ejecting the cork without touching it. This may not be the fanciest cork screw, but it is an innovative, high quality means of all wine bottle cork removal.
excellent product for a woman July 14, 2007
If you are a woman and have trouble opening wine bottles with other screwpulls, this one is for you. You don't need to be particularly strong, just stick it in and keep turning. The cork will come out by itself. They used to be less expensive, but still are a better option than those super expensive ones that can open your bottle really fast but take a lot of storage space.

This Screwpull set is a fine addition to anyone's corkscrew set. It's ease and, might I add, safety, are far above those of the average waiter's corkscrew.
I didn't by the set for the foilcutter, but I'm glade I did. It's simple, easy, and works like a charm. Easily a 5-star devise for 5-bucks.
The corkscrew is also the best I've used. It's easy, although is might be a tad more difficult with a weak grip (you need to keep the bottle from spinning). It easily lifts the cork from the bottle. My only complaint, and why I withheld the final star, is that the corkscrew does not always travel down the center of the cork. If it goes to the edges, the cork tends to break off little pieces into the wine. 4-stars, but since it's the bulk of the cost, the set also gets 4.
Would I buy again? You bet!

I have used most of their products over the years - from the original turn corkscrew to the really expensive lever models. This is a new twist (pardon the pun!) on the classic.
Somehow the pressure applied by this corkscrew will allow the most feeble cork to turn and lift.
The design can not be improved too much - so simple. This is the corkscrew everyone should use.
