Great, but not really Blackwatch Tartan December 16, 2008
I have to agree with the other four reviews. I own some other duvet covers from other large mail order merchants known for their flannel sheets. These compare very well to ones from from them at a lower cost.
Trust a Scotsman!
Now, I also wear the kilt and have tartans in my kilt wardrobe, which makes me a tartanphile. I prefer my duvet covers to be tartan than just plain, or any other pattern than tartan. So, you can disregard the rest of this review if you are not too picky about what tartan graces your bed.
On the other hand, this isn't a proper Black watch. I did have to admit that I was chuffed to see the white stripe, hoping this would be Forbes (my tartan). On the other hand, this looks more like some sort of Lamont: kind of a dark ancient version of the tartan. That means the picture is sort of correct, but the blue is a hair darker than it looks.
I would have loved it if these were Forbes Tartan since a Kinloch-Anderson Forbes Duvet cover runs around US$500.
Nevermind, these are a great deal at this price and I am glad I bought 4 of them!
Good and warm December 9, 2008
Purchased them a couple of months ago. Can't beat them for the price. They are soft and make you feel warm. Better than others I have tried. I looked at the ones at the department stores, but these are thicker and softer. I love them.
Warm & cozy November 24, 2008
These have now been through two washes, shedding the extra fiber and are soft, and lovely. Lighter weight than some, but not a disadvantge, as they are not at all skimpy on threads per inch . I would happily buy another set next year.

Cozy, Warm And Beautiful November 3, 2008
I love the warmth and softness of flannel sheets on a cold night and these beauties are nothing if not inviting. They seem to get softer and more comfortable with each washing and adding to their charm is the classic Black Watch design which is so rich looking. It has long been my favorite plaid. About the only drawback that I can think of is that they make it difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
