Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The George Foreman G+Broil grill has a revolutionary design with a locking hinge that lets the upper cooking plate rest above the lower cooking plate for broiling foods. This unit is rather compact, with an 11x12-inch base that stands just 5 inches tall. The cooking surface is 7x10.5 inches (72 square inches) and tilts slightly down in the front so grease and drippings drain off. The G+Broil heats quickly, in just over 5 minutes. A handy power light signals that the unit is heating and goes out when the grill is properly preheated. The raised grill plate lets you melt cheese on hamburgers, cook a batch of mini pizzas or broil stuffed mushrooms -- tasks that were previously unsuitable for contact grilling. In the locked position, the top grid hovers about an inch and a half above the bottom grid so delicate foods, such as cheese, can be melted without sticking to the grid. The bottom grid has sensible raised tooth-like projections that keep foods from sliding off, even while allowing liquids to do so. Both grids have an easy-clean nonstick finish that is triple reinforced against scratches. The G+Broil GRB72P may be smaller than its counterparts in the Foreman line; however, its fast, even heating and low price tag make it desirable to the budget-minded consumer. Plus, the unique locking hinge gives it an added appeal.

Quick, convenient, fat busting.. I love this thing! I bought this one for my sis, and have the little one at home. Get one if you don't have one yet. it's a MUST!

2 out of 5 stars Royal Pain to Clean   July 6, 2008
What a pain to clean this thing. I thought we must have a defective unit but it seems others have the problem too. If you buy one buy one with removable plates

5 out of 5 stars I liked it so much the first time I got another   June 30, 2008

I'm on my second of these. Don't take that to mean they're shoddily crafted - I was rather abusive to my first. My favorite feature is the locking hinge for broiling. My chicken breasts are always juicy, never dry. My fish is flaky and near-perfect. All hail George Foreman (and his grill)!

4 out of 5 stars Love this product, wished it would last   May 9, 2008

I've had this grill for about 8months before it short circuited on me and stopped working.

When it did work however i used it daily and granted you didnt have the control of a real grill but it was well suited in my opinion to heat up breads, pitas, any kind of baked goods.

With meat and poultry, the food would tend to get a little bit too burned if you put both sides of the heating element directly on the food so i would suggest using the "g-broil" where you leave the food sitting on one heating surface while the top plate just floats above the food.
