Product Description Kira owns a profitable hair and nail salon. She lives in a nice home in an exclusive community with her husband Ricky, an infamous, well-known drug dealer from the rough streets of D.C. He is also known to be one of the most feared men in the South. Because of Ricky's drug-empire, Kira finds herself in the most dangerous situation ever. Ricky forces Kira to believe that he's going to call on his reinforcements, so everything will end in his favor. However, unknown to Ricky, Kira felt the need to devise an escape plan on her own. Will she choose loyalty or her life? In a world where everyone wants to be "wifey" the question is--can you play your position and handle the drama the streets will throw your way?

I'm confused about the hustler's handbook December 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wifey is not what i expected at all. Kira's supposed to be the top notch byotch simply because she has a few furs, a ring and other pieces that she practically sold her soul for. Ricky showed Kira no respect at all and flaunted his women in her face may it have been directly or indirectly.Kira was nothing put a joke and not even a well kept one.
Could Kira see that Russ was up to no good? How could she claim to know the hustler's handbook but let his fugly azz play her like a instrument? Kira caught feelings after only having the dyck once. she knows that you never, ever reveal your feelings that quickly too anyone, especially info that can get you killed. That's so not a smart move for a supposed scholar of the hustler's manual to make.
Rickey was as dumb as a box of rocks. He knew his wife was stealing from him yet never did anything about it. Then she allowed him to have kids all around the city and took care of them for him...mind boggeling. I wished a n*gga would ask me to watch some kids of his he messed around on me to get. I'll probably look over one but this trick had baby mama's coming out the wood work. The way the drug charges were handled were not accurate if you call your attorney and tell him that a murder is about to go down then he's obligated to alert the authorities instead of saying oh well when the crime is committed we can use that against them. If the authorities were supposed to be watching them after they were squealed on then locating them before torturing three people to death shouldn't have bee that big a problem.
The book could've been put together better than it was. It was slow at times and i felt as if it was going no where. With the blatant disrepect that Ricky had for Kira how could she even begin to fathom that she was a high and mighty queen? It was all in her head because the only person being fooled was her. There's no way a woman that's supposed to be as on point as she claimed to be would've been played throughout the book like she was.
I'm off to get the next installment to see where this series goes.
WIFEY December 10, 2008 This book was interesting, a very nice read. It's funny how what goes around comes around, or what comes around goes around, no matter how its said, Karma is a Mutha.. I really enjoyed this book.
GOOD URBAN FICTION November 28, 2008 This was a good book. Fast reading. I flew through it wanting to know how it ended. I would recommend it to urban fiction readers.
Where do I begin... August 15, 2008 ...let's start with the beginning. I've read other books with the plot of "Wifey". But this one was truly unbelievable...because the character's themselves where UNBELIEVABLE.
The only true reason I found this book entertaining was because it gave me something to do besides listening to my IPOD on my subway commute to and from work.
The writing was a bit over the top for me...all in all a so, so plot. Wifey is tired of hustling husband and his side tricks, finds out he's cheating (amongst other things), and decides to get him back. Turns Wifey get's taken for a ride as well.
