Love it! June 30, 2008 I borrowed this book from our public library and after renewing it 3 times, I decided I'd better just buy it! My kids and I enjoy making homemade muffins (NOT the grocery store box kinds) for breakfast options and this book has loads. Easy-to-follow directions even for kids and the results have been great every time. Sure, there might be some kinds that I wouldn't even consider trying, but what recipe book doesn't have that? If you like muffins, I recommend this!
Muffins April 7, 2008 This cook book is okay but not great. They have neat muffin flavors but the recipes turn out kind of dry muffins.
Nice Addition to any Collection April 5, 2008 I have, literally, dozens of baking books that cover everything from flatbreads to pies. I was pleased to add this one to my collection. I like the alphabetical indexing concept and the straightforward formulations. As a research and production baking professional, I recommend that you add this to your collection.
Just waste of time June 3, 2007 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this book after reading what other buyers had to say about it. But I realized I made a mistake. As the first recipe I tried the peach muffins, they baked great but tasted horribly bitter, may be I overbaked them. I tried that same recipe again. This time they taste good, not great but give out strong chalky smell. I had to eat the muffin holding my breath, because if I smell it I get the feeling of eating chalk. Now I'm just scared to try out other recipes. It's such waste of time and money.
great muffin book May 7, 2007 I highly recommend this book. It is so wonderful. I've made many of the recipes and they have all turned out great. I love to cook but I've never been very good at baking, however this book makes it rather fool proof. The only thing that I had to adjust was the oven temp. because the muffin tin I was using worked better at a lower temp. Hope this may help someone else. I actually chose this book over another because of someones review. Thanks.
